Two charismatic Tibetan girls kept me company during a snack break at Drepung Monastery. After giving them each 1 yuan each (1/8 of a US dollar), they were very happy, happy enough to stop insisting on a shoe shine. They are 7 (on left) and 5 (on right).

A Gilded and painted lion adorns a corner of Jokhang temple, below a gayly painted roof. This is one of the details that make the Jokhang Monastery, Tibet, one of the more colorful temples that I visited.
